Ashbrooke Belford House FC travel to Harton and Westoe CW this weekend in a bid to find winning form.

The last time these two sides met Ashbrooke fell to a 4-0 defeat at the hands of the visiting side.

FootballTeam manager Asa Dobbing described it as “probably one of the worst performances of the season by ourselves.”

Ashbrooke will be looking to make sure this result is not repeated.

In their last league game, Ashbrooke played host to Stockton Town FC in which they suffered a 5-0 defeat.

Meanwhile the hosts, Harton and Westoe CW, had a reverse of fortune to their opponents. In their last game they travelled to Prudhoe Town FC in which they managed a 4-2 win. Two goals from Shaun Head, one from Shaun Rey and one from David Bullman were enough to cancel out the two goals from Derek Waters and Liam Scott Henderson of Prudhoe.

Dobbing describes Harton and Westoe as a “decent footballing team who play on a lovely pitch.”

“Since the bad weather form has been terrible, it has been very stop start for us been unable to get into a rhythm,” he added.

“We need to get into regular games and get a settled side had some key players missing as of late.

“Hopefully we can get a win and build on it. Harton is a good pitch for us. I think we have won there in the last three seasons.”
