Sunderland are ‘raring to go’

University of Sunderland 2nds face Teesside on Wednesday siming to complete the double over them following a 38-26 victory in October.

The Wearsiders sit fourth in the BUCS league and are six points ahead of their winless opponents.

Sunderland have picked up two wins so far this campaign, and goal-shooter and club vice-president Rosie Bradley claims the squad are “raring to go” to get their third.

“We definitely have it in us to beat Teesside. Having thrashed them at Varsity and previously in the league, I’m confident that with a full team, all on top form, we will be able to perform,” said Bradley.

“This is our chance to up our goal difference on the league table and we’re all raring to go.”

Victory would see Sunderland bounce back after two consecutive defeats in the league and move them nine points clear of the drop zone.
