Seaham are hoping to get their first win of the festive period this weekend when they host Chester-Le-Street.

After a poor start to December, with an away defeat to Richmondshire, the Harbour are confident they can now go the rest of the month undefeated and plan to start with victory on Saturday.

Chester-Le-Street have won three out of their last five but they are also coming into the game on the back of a defeat so both teams will be hungry for points.

When the teams last met, in January, Seaham comfortably brushed Chester-Le-Street aside with a 30-8 victory. However due to the visitors drafting in new players over the past year, and Seaham missing key men through injury at the moment, the home side are relying on their young players to help them come out on top.

Coach Jon Dye said: “After a defeat last weekend we need to win this game at the weekend or promotion is going to be an almost impossible task, simple as that”.

The Game kicks off 2:15pm at Seaham leisure centre on Saturday.
