After a hotly contested and well supported 2014 season, the Northumberland & Durham Cycling Association have announced that they’ll be holding an awards night in January 2015.
The event is open to all and they hope to see a good turnout from all the North East clubs. There’s also an early start, to encourage the junior members to come along.
The awards night will be on Sunday January 18 at the Town Wall in Newcastle.
Mark Reed, competition administrator, said: “The complete 2014 medals list is yet to be finalised, but if you came top 3 in any of the leagues, won team leagues or won distance champs there’ll be a medal for you for sure.
“And even if you didn’t, what better way to reflect on the season gone, or look forward to the new season, which will be under 8 weeks away, than over a few cold beers with your TT comrades.”
Claire Blake, the press officer for N&DCA, said “At the awards night in January we will be handing out trophies to people of all ages and both genders, who competed in time trials and hill climb competitions in 2014. Anyone interested can see a list of winners (past and present) on our website.”
