Easington Colliery host Ryton & Crawcrook Albion on Saturday afternoon as the Colliers look to get back to winning ways.
Easington now sit ninth in Northern League Division Two while Ryton & Crawcrook Albion are second bottom.
Manager Paul Frame was disappointed with last week’s 2-2 draw with Esh Winning and is determined his side can get back to winning ways.
“We were very disappointed with not getting the points last week. Esh Winning played well but we should be beating sides like them. We were lucky to get the point in the end,” said Frame.
Easington have completed the signings of Lee Graydon, Dylan Elliott, Richard Jordan and Logan Powell and Frame believes the new faces will provide good competition.
“We’ve signed four very good players who will be looking to get into the squad. The lads who are currently in the team will need to up their game if they are to keep their spaces as there is now a lot of competition.”
Ryton & Crawcrook Albion have gained some impressive results since the appointment of manager Peter Bryson and Frame is expected a tough game.
He said: “It’s going to be a lot like Esh Winning last week. They’re another side who are fighting for survival and we’re going to need to be on our game if we are to get the points.”
Kick-off at the Welfare Park on Saturday afternoon is at 3pm.
