Tonight see’s the draw for the third round of the FA Cup where Sunderland enter the competition alongside their fellow Championship sides and the 20 Premier League clubs.

Teams from the top two divisions join the remaining 20 lower league sides from the second round of the FA Cup with the draw taking place prior to Slough Town and Rochdale’s second round match.

Both BBC Two and BT Sport 1 will be hosting the draw from 7pm as well as making the draw available on their online platforms.

The ball to keep an eye on for Sunderland is number 38 with North East rivals Newcastle and Middlesbrough numbers 28 and 26 respectively.

SportsByte will keep you up to date on twitter @Sports_Byte as we see who Sunderland draw and whether they can progress further than their 3rd round effort from last season.
