This Saturday, the Seaham RUFC take the trip down to 7th place Yarm in a game where the Harbour will be hoping to win in order to increase the gap between them and the lower half of the table.
The last time these two sides met was back in November when Seaham and Yarm grinded to a 5-5 draw in a tight game.
Yarm took the lead three minutes into the game when they created an overlap down the left wing and their full back scored the try on the corner with a missed conversion. The game went into half time with Yarm in the lead, but Seaham managed to equalise in the second half through the efforts of Graeme Steel who scored the try following a series of passes from Barry Morton, Andy Short, Glen Hardie and Brad Greene.
The conversion was missed but Seaham and Yarm both held each other off till the end of the game.
Seaham will be looking to capitalise on their victory last week against Prudhoe and Stocksfield where the Harbour snatched victory in the last play of the game when Michael Flowers managed to drive the ball over the line.
A win for Seaham could see them go 4th in the league – over taking Seghill and Chester-le-Street.
The game will kick off at 15:00 at Yarm.
