ArcheryThe host of the 2014 British University Team Championships was recently confirmed as 2013 Semi finalists, the University of Southampton.

This year’s championships mark the first to be held by a South East Archery League (SEAL) team and will be held on the 15th February 2014.

The University of Sunderland’s Archery club’s secretary and founder, Andrew Ingleby, has heaped praise on the competition’s format, hailing previous years as a “lot of fun”.

Last year Sunderland reached the round of 32 at the championships in Lancaster and Ingleby was coy about Sunderland’s chances of advancing this time around: “We haven’t picked Team’s A and B yet, so we won’t know for a while, but we have a good group and when they shoot well they are a consistent bunch.”

The future hosts of the 2014 competition finished 4th overall in 2013 and currently sit comfortably atop the SEAL table.
