Hartlepool’s Graeme Storm

Hartlepool’s Graeme Storm has witnessed an extraordinary 2017 season start to finish.

From winning his second tournament on the European Tour, clinching the BMW South Africa Open back in January.

Beating Rory McIlroy by one shot in a playoff.

Storm exclusively told SportsByte: “This season was a hugely successful one for me, not only winning so early on, but playing really solid all season through and making all the really big events at the end.”

Storm qualified for the AP Tour Championship in Dubai finishing 52nd in the tournament, Storm now sits 137th in the world rankings.

Storm managed six top ten finishes  in 2017 to record his best season to date.

Storm revealed: “2017 was a huge contrast to the year before where I nearly lost my card and my playing privileges on the tour.”

In conclusion Storm added: “I suppose when I look back and take stock of what I achieved then the year really couldn’t have gone any better at all.”
