Sunderland Cycling Clarion Club will be hosting an awards evening to celebrate the past years accomplishments in January.

Sunderland Cycling Clarion ClubThe awards evening will be held at Wearside Masonic Temple in Sunderland on Saturday January 24.

Matt France, Sunderland Cycling Clarion Club press officer, said: “The awards evening in January celebrates the achievements of members in competitions throughout the past season.

“Along with recognising non-competitive achievements, including participation in the club’s reliability ride, which is a ride of around 70 miles where members test their own abilities and the reliability of their bike. This is usually done on roads away from our usual clubs runs, often in North Yorkshire.”

Tony Gibson, sectary of the club, added: “Every year we have a presentation night to celebrate a year of club cycling and to congratulate those who have done exceptionally well in competition.

“Even if you’re not a racer, it’s a great social event and time to chat and relax with other Clarion members.”
