Sunderland FOL Monkwearmouth North 6-0 Burnley FC SYT

The Sunderland FOL Monkwearmouth North team continued their perfect start to the season, making it three wins out of three, with a six goal drubbing of Burnley FC SYT.

The opening goal of the game came three minutes in when Lewis Charlton calmly slotted home from inside the box.

Sunderland pushed to double their lead with Nathan Proctor going close, before Nathan Donkin made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute.

After half time Dorkin got his second of the game making it 3-0, after capitalising on some poor Burnley defending in the 49th minute.

Just 11 minutes into the second half Henry Rawlinson made it 4-0 with a spectacular overhead kick.

Sunderland continued to dominate the game, making it 5-0 in the 80th through Sam Overal.

The final goal of the match cameafter a bullet header from Bradley Chisholm, to finish the game 6-0.

Head coach Michael Havelock was delighted with his team’s performance, describing their form so far this season as ‘excellent’ and he is confident it can continue.
