Sunderland City Predators women’s volleyball team travel down to Kettering this weekend to face Team Essex Trinity National Shield final.
The Predators overcame Coventry and Warwick Riga in the semi-final to set up a final clash with Team Essex Trinity on Saturday.
The North East side have progressed through four rounds in this year’s tournament to earn their place at the National Volleyball Centre in hope of winning silverware.
The Ladies’ coach Steven Anderson said: “It is going to be a great weekend for the girls. The setup looks fantastic.
“To reach a final after forming just three years ago is incredible. It shows we have a strong squad who believe very highly of themselves.”
Anderson has named a squad of 12 for the final – Laura Hailes, Kate Pearce, Atlanta Taylor, Sabina McGing, Zoe Raine, Beth Hewitt, Sara Monteiro, Weronicka Wroblewska, Hollie Patterson, Tanya Wyatt, Eve Porter, Klaudia Gaisor.
