Team Sunderland's basketballers have only lost once this season.

Team Sunderland women’s volleyball picked up a comprehensive win last time out.

Following Team Sunderland’s impressive 3-0 victory over Coventry and Warwick Riga, their next challenge is in the new year.

Team Sunderland women’s volleyball face a visit from North Riding Eagles in January and, following the Wearsider’s outstanding form, it is a test to see if the players and coaches can manage against complacency.

Sunderland have won five out of their last six fixtures and head coach David Raine will hope that come January 14 they can extend that run further.

North Riding Eagles however are in a decent vein of form themselves. They have won three of their last five fixtures, including winning the last three. Head coaches Anthony Laffan and Paul Dixon know that this will be a tricky test.

The game should prove to be an exciting affair and hopefully Team Sunderland can extend their run further.
