Newly Crowned Heavyweight Champion of the World Tyson Fury is said to make an appearance in the North East in February according to sources.
The venture will see the controversial fighter at a host dinner or meet and greet opportunity in which people can buy tickets to meet the Mancunian.
Boxing promoter Steve Wraith announced the opportunity on his Facebook page, saying: “Tyson Fury will be heading to Tyneside in Feb 2016. Full announcement will follow shortly #boxing”
Wraith, who is a well known figure around the Newcastle area for his work in boxing and for his connection with the Kray twins, has brought numerous high level fighters to the North East in the past with legends like Ricky Hatton and Floyd Mayweather visting the area.
The announcement will be great news to both boxing fans and sports fans a-like with recent revelations over Fury’s controversial statements over homosexuality and abortion likely to be brought up in the, likely to happen, Q and A segment of the meet and greet.
Fury, 27, won the WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO and Ring Magazine titles in Dusseldorf, Germany last month via Unanimous Decision after an impressive showing against 10-year Heavyweight king Wladamir Klitschko.
