World number one Michael van Gerwen is among the darts stars set to grace Sunderland at the Lookers Nissan Darts Masters in December.
The Dutchman will be joined by Premier League rival Peter Wright, former World Championship semi-finalist Wayne Mardle and compatriot Vincent van der Voort at the event, which takes place on December 2.
Bobby George will also be in attendance, with some fans even getting the chance to play against the so-called ‘King of Bling’.
This won’t be the first time Nissan has played host to the pre-Christmas event, with the Sports & Leisure Complex proving a popular venue for darts fans in recent years.
“This should be a great show,” said Premier League champion van Gerwen. “It’s a fantastic line-up of quality players and we will all be doing our best to win.
“It is at the most important time of the year for us with the World Championship just around the corner so, while we will all have a bit of fun, we will all be on top form.
“The fans in Sunderland are always fantastic so I can’t wait to see what a party atmosphere they are going to create so close to Christmas.”
Van Gerwen has already established himself as one of the game’s all-time greats, and reached the final of the inaugural Champions League of Darts on Sunday before losing out to Phil Taylor.
Tickets for the Lookers Nissan Darts Masters are already on sale and can be purchased through Nissan’s Sport and Leisure website.
