The fixtures for the 2018 Specsavers County Championship Division Two season have been announced and sees Durham begin their campaign at home to Kent.

Durham, who finished one place off the bottom in ninth in 2017 having been docked 48 points following a financial bailout by the England and Wales Cricket Board, will host Kent at the Emirates Riverside in Chester-Le-Street on April 20.

Durham then travel to Northamptonshire for the second round of fixtures before games at home to Leicestershire and away to Derbyshire in May.

The four-day format of the game then grinds to a halt, as a flurry of Royal London One-Day Cup matches take precedent, with Durham hosting Derbyshire in their next County Championship fixture.

Durham face Sussex away and Warwickshire at home during the back end of June with the latter a floodlit match at Chester-Le-Street.

County Championship action is sparse during July as the NatWest T20 Blast roars into life once again, with just one four-day match for Durham away to Gloucestershire.

Again four-day action is limited in a T20 dominated August schedule but Durham finish the month with County Championship matches away at Glamorgan and at home to Northamptonshire.

The final month of the campaign sees away trips to Warwickshire and Leicestershire while Sussex and Middlesex are the final two visitors to the Emirates Riverside.
