Jack Ross and his Sunderland side are quickly acclimatising to League One life and are currently undefeated with four wins and two draws from their opening six games.

The same success could not be said though of their current players who are out on loan.

Elliot Embleton has yet to feature for new side Grimsby Town as he signed just as the loan window closed.

Lamine Kone and Sam Brotherton are the other two Sunderland players currently on loan elsewhere, and here is how they are doing:

Lamine Kone – Strasbourg

The Black Cats may have had to hold onto Papy Djilobodji and Didier N’Dong this summer, but they did manage to ship Lamine Kone out, albeit on loan.

He was a 69th minute substitution for Strasbourg in Ligue 1, replacing winger Adrien Thomasson.

They were beaten 3-2 at home by Nantes, Strasbourg currently sit at 15th place in the table with only one win so far this season.

Sam Brotherton – Blyth Spartans

Brotherton has yet to make an appearance for the National League North side, having just joined them on loan.

The New Zealand international is currently nursing an injury and Spartans manager Alun Armstrong is hoping to have him fit before the end of the month.

They managed to defeat Altrincham 2-1 and are currently sitting 16th in the table.
