The Wearside League has a full fixture list this evening, with ten midweek games taking place.

The return of the 11th tier of English football has seen the usual goal fests – with over 100 goals scored  in just 22 games.

In the pick of the games tonight, Silksworth Colliery Welfare host Whitehaven in a match that sees two of the League’swearside-league early front runners  come together.

Whitehaven have won all three of their games, scoring 16 goals in the process, while Silksworth have won two and lost one, scoring 11. Silksworth beat Boldon 5-0 at the weekend, while Whitehaven beat Wolviston 6-0.

Wolviston host Coxhoe Athletic tonight, while Boldon will look to recover away at Gateshead Leam Rangers, who have drawn both of their opening league games.

Ashbrooke Belford House, meanwhile, play Sunderland West End in a local derby as they look to keep the heat on Whitehaven. Both Ashbrooke and West End are yet to lost this season but Sunderland have played a game less and could go above Ashbrooke with a big win.

Elsewhere, Easington Colliery face a trip to bottom-side Jarrow, while last season’s champions Stockton Town host Horden Colliery Welfare, who have lost their only game this season.

All games kick off tonight at 6.30pm unless stated, and come just a few days after an order from the League to “get a grip” following disciplinary issues.
