Preview: Premier League Darts Night Five – Cardiff
Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton head home to Wales both in search of a second nightly win.
Match 1: Michael van Gerwen vs Luke Humphries
Michael van Gerwen takes on Luke Humphries to open the evening. The pair both suffered first round defeats in Belfast with Humphries losing to eventual nightly winner Bunting and Price seeing off van Gerwen in a last leg decider.
Mighty Mike obliterated Cool Hand in the week one semi-final in Newcastle on his way to picking up the nightly win.
My prediction Michael van Gerwen 6-5 Luke Humphries

Match 2: Gian van Veen vs Jonny Clayton
Gian van Veen suffered his third defeat in a final last time out against Bunting, and it was Clayton who beat him in the final in Glasgow. The pair are tied one a piece so far in this year’s Premier League.
Clayton has won every single first round tie so far and will be hoping to back that up in the Welsh capital.
My prediction Gian van Veen 3-6 Jonny Clayton
Match 3: Gerwyn Price vs Stephen Bunting
Price will also be looking to add to his tally in Wales. The Iceman featured in two last leg deciders last time out beating van Gerwen but losing out to van Veen for a spot in the final.
Bunting picked up all five points in Belfast and a well-deserved nightly win moving himself up to fifth in the table above the two Luke’s.
My prediction: Gerwyn Price 6-4 Stephen Bunting
Match 4: Luke Littler vs Josh Rock
Luke Littler and Josh Rock are both desperate for points. The Nuke has four points two of which he received when van Gerwen pulled out in Glasgow.
Rock sits bottom of the pile with no points and despite his nine-darter in Belfast has struggled so far in the Premier League.
My Prediction: Luke Littler 6-2 Josh Rock
