North Star ABC end their boxing season with successful night at The Point in Sunderland
North Star ABC hosted their second and final show of the season at The Point in Sunderland which saw them bring home six wins.
The show started off with four skill bouts from; Matilda Short, Dara Adegbite, Ade Adegbite and Jake Reaper before the clubs’ first win of the night coming from Max Taylor, who beat Reece Clark via unanimous decision.
Unfortunately after Taylor’s win, the club faced a three-fight losing streak after Shay Croft, Michael Hutchinson and Kenzie Phillips all lost their bouts to Billy Robson, Joseph Carrigan and James McAlpine respectively.
The next fight between Tanesha Armbruster and Alesha Tolley would see ArmBruster win by third round stoppage, before Karar Aldarrji lost via split decision to Lenny Rushton.
North Star boxers Layton Pennock and Reggie Foster faced off against Frankie Hatton and Jordan Mutyambizi, with both home fighters victorious.
The main fights of the show followed, as Liam Scotter defeated James Ord in a bout awarded ‘fight of the night’. The main event followed, as Kyle Brown who had a recent five year hiatus from the sport took on Rhys Hopkins for the developmental heavyweight belt for the Tyne-Tees and Wear region. The night ended on a high for North Star, with Brown adding another win for the club.
