“The fact the team never said die and kept going” – Rob Elliot’s post-game thoughts

Gateshead FC manager Rob Elliot praised his team’s resilience in their dramatic 4-4 draw with Morecambe at the Gateshead International Stadium in the Enterprise National League.  

The Heed capped off a solid week picking up seven points from a possible 9 with this game being critical in their hopes of survival.  

A game filled with drama and even two hat-tricks from Morecambe’s loanee forward Chris Popov and Gateshead’s Billy Chadwick seen the game have an action-packed element of it right from the start until the very end.  

Gateshead have another tough test at home on Saturday as they are set to take on Forest Green Rovers.
