Match Preview: Newcastle Benfield vs Birtley Town

Newcastle Benfield will be looking to make it back-to-back wins this weekend as they prepare to host Birtley Town in the Ebac Northern League Division One.

After going three games without a goal, Benfield managed to return to winning ways last week with a first half Owen Imeson goal enough to secure all three points. 

Birtley Town haven’t had any problems finding the net recently, scoring 11 goals in their last five games, however come into the game with no wins in their last four. 

 

Previous meeting 

In the reverse fixture, the game finished 3-2 to Birtley in entertaining game at the Arrowmark Home Improvements stadium back in August.

Benfield currently occupy 13th place in the Norther League Division One table whilst visitors Birtley currently sit 14th place, four points behind the lions with a game in hand.
