Tow Law Town vs Seaham Red Star | Match Preview
Tow Law Town play host to Seaham Red Star on Saturday as both teams close out their regular league campaign.
The Lawyers are safe from relegation going into the final day, sitting four points ahead of 20th placed Billingham Synthonia.
Despite this, the home side haven’t tasted defeat in their last eight, and will be keen to keep that going.
The visitors arrive at Ironworks Road in outstanding form, winning nine of their last ten fixtures.
The Star have sealed their play-off place, but are yet to find out their opponents.
Seaham can rise to third place, however it is unlikely as they would need Jarrow to lose heavily.
The more realistic position change is down to fifth, to which there is a two-point gap to FC Hartlepool.
The Star will be hoping to avoid a drop in position, avoiding an away playoff fixture to Redcar Town or Yarm & Eaglescliffe.
Should the table remain as it is, Red Star will face Jarrow away in a play-off semi-final.
Seaham Red Star’s stopper, Shaun Newbrook, will become the club’s record appearance holder, if he plays on Saturday after he equaled the record of 300 appearances during the week in a loss to Redcar Town.
Whilst there is more to play for in the away camp, Tow Law are one of the hardest fixtures in the division right now.
The Star may be happy to get out of DL13 unscathed ahead of the looming play-off campaign.
