Preview: Premier League Darts Night 13 – Aberdeen

Luke Littler will be looking for his third win on the spin to put pressure on league leader Jonny Clayton

Match 1: Josh Rock vs Luke Littler

Rock takes on Littler in just their second meeting of the campaign.

Littler won 6-4 in Cardiff on his way to picking up his first nightly win.

Rock’s Premier League play-off hopes, although slim, are still alive, however he needs to start reaching finals – something he is yet to do.

Littler’s win over Jonny Clayton in last week’s Liverpool final sees the gap reduced to just three points, with the Nuke looking to once again finish top of the pile.

My prediction: Rock 2-6 Littler

Match 2: Stephen Bunting vs Gerwyn Price

Bunting was denied the chance of a semi-final on home soil last week, losing to Clayton in a last-leg decider.

The pair have both failed to win in their last three matches and have met twice so far during the campaign.

The Iceman came out on top on both occasions winning 6-5 and 6-2.

The world #7 will be looking to add more points to close in on cementing his spot in the final four.

My prediction: Bunting 3-6 Price

Match 3: Jonny Clayton vs Gian van Veen

Clayton takes on van Veen in the third game of the evening.

The Ferret will be hoping to get back to winning ways in Scotland.

The pair went to a last-leg decider in last week’s semi-final on Merseyside.

Van Veen sits four points behind Michael van Gerwen with four weeks left to go.

The pair have met four times with the Ferret winning the last three meetings.

Van Veen beat Clayton in the week one semi- final in Newcastle.

My prediction: Clayton 6-5 van Veen

Match 4: Luke Humphries vs Michael van Gerwen

Humphries will be looking to get back to winning ways, following his defeat to Littler last week, to close the gap on the Dutch #2.

The pair have met three times in the Premier League with van Gerwen winning two of the three meetings.

Van Gerwen is four points ahead of Cool Hand after 12 weeks of actions.

My prediction: Humphries 6-4 van Gerwen
