Match Report: Newcastle United vs Brighton & Hove Albion
Newcastle United push themselves up to 13th and are back to winning ways after their victory against Brighton & Hove Albion, with an enthralling game that ended 3-1 to the Magpies.
Goals coming from William Osula, Dan Burn and Harvey Barnes meant that Newcastle won their first game after four straight Premier League defeats.

Jack Hinshelwood would be the only Brighton player to find the back of the net in this fixture.
Newcastle have dropped the most points from winning positions (25) in the Premier League this season, however the Magpies managed to get those very important three points over the line.
Osula headed the Geordies in front in the 12th minute, after a terrible mistake from Brighton’s goalkeeper, Bart Verbruggen, after clipping Jacob Murphy, who was quick to get back on his feet, crossed one into the box, putting it on a plate for the Danish striker.
Burn doubled the lead with a thumping header in the 24th minute, a perfect corner from Bruno Guimaraes, meant that Burn climbed above the yellow shirts in the box, leaving the Dutch keeper no chance.
Into the second half, Hinshelwood pearled one past Nick Pope in the 61st minute, to find a way back into the game for Brighton, after some lovely link up play with Danny Welbeck.
Barnes however, would put the game to bed in the 95th minute, after Yoanne Wissa took the ball around the Brighton goalkeeper. The Englishman would take the net off, with a pile driver into the roof of the empty net.
Eddie Howe and all of the Newcastle coaching staff erupted with relief.
Victory for Eddie Howe’s black and white army was a must after their most recent form, with the possibility of European football for the Magpies at the end of the season, this could be the turning point in a poor Newcastle season.
