Filip Marschall, Ethan Pye and Kamil Conteh’s loan deals were originally agreed to end at the end of the Vanarama National League season. However, due to the Heed’s impressive run in the FA Trophy, the trio have extended their deals to make sure they’re eligible to play at Wembley.

Conteh and Pye both starred in the semi-final victory over Barnet, overcoming the Londoners on penalties.

Conteh has appeared 32 times for Gateshead this year, scoring two goals. Left-Back, Ethan Pye, has made 38 starts for Gateshead this season, scoring his first goal for the club last time out against Maidenhead United on the last day of the season.

Villa loanee, Filip Marschall returned for his second spell in the North East in January, keeping eight clean sheets in 21 starts.

FC Halifax Town will be the opposition for Gateshead on Sunday 21 May at Wembley. Gateshead have the chance to win their second trophy in two years after winning the Vanarama National North in the 21/22 season.
