NUFC Star nominated for the Premier League young player of the season
After a tremendous season in the Premier League Newcastle’s forward Aleksander Isak has been nominated for the Premier League young player of the season for the second year in a row.
Scoring 20 goals in the Premier League this season the Swedish striker has shown his talent during a tough season for Newcastle.
The 24 year old has been nominated for a second consecutive season being the first Newcastle player to reach 20 goals in the Premier League since Alan Shearer in 2002/03.
After a persistent groin problem seeing him miss 6 games across the Premier League, Isak has still managed to break the 20 goal mark while his minutes per goal rate is 101.3, second to only Erling Haaland’s 91.8.
The other nominees for the award include Phil Foden, Erling Haaland, Kobie Mainoo, Cole Palmer, Bukayo Saka, William Saliba and Destiny Udogie.
