Gateshead fan shares frustration after missing out on National League play-offs

Earlier this month Gateshead missed out on a play-off place in the National League after looking certain to finish inside the top seven.

Gateshead fans have expressed their anger after last seasons “debacle” of not being allowed to compete in the play-offs despite qualifying and have called for a change in ownership.

Before the tie, Heed fans were ecstatic and loud. However with only one shot on target opinion turned sour quickly. Manager Carl Magnay received his fair share during the game, but it was the board that took the brunt post-match.

Since then, Neil Pinkerton has resigned as chairman, but there are still question marks over whether that will actually change much going forward. Some Heed fans had their say.
