Wolves took the lead 15 minutes in with a goal from Conor McLeod.
Newcastle had a brilliant chance to equalise through Alex Murphy, but his header from a free-kick missed.
After a phase of back and forth from the two teams, Neave scored a wonderful goal into the far corner 33 minutes in to level.
The second half started off slowly with neither side gaining too much momentum, as Murphy had a shot saved by Wolves keeper Alfie Brooks just past the hour mark.
Shortly after, Neave almost put the Magpies ahead, but his header couldn’t hit the target.
The Magpies almost clinched three points, when Neave had a great run towards goal, before laying off the ball for Michael Mills, but his chance went just wide.
Newcastle pushed hard for a late winner, but their final game of the season ended with all-square.
