“These are the games where we’ve been waiting for all year” – Robbie Tinkler’s pre-playoff thoughts

Following the disappointment of losing the National League North title last weekend to Fylde, The Mariners have the chance to have another crack at promotion via the playoffs.
We asked Tinkler how the atmosphere will help him relish in this clash. He explained: “Well, like I said, these are the games where we’ve been waiting for all year.”
“I mean, I’ve said this to the lads. These games don’t come around; people have full careers and not really anything to play for and not how many they play for.”
He added: “Like we said, we have to embrace it and make sure we have fight like the gaffer said. No regrets.”
However, this will be no easy task as Buxton come into this clash in fine form, losing once in their last 11 games.
The Bucks come into this after a great 4-2 victory against Scarborough Athletic in the quarter-final round of the playoffs, earlier this week.
Also, if they make the final, South Shields will have another game at home next Saturday depending on the winner of Kidderminster Harriers FC vs Macclesfield FC at 12:30 p.m. tomorrow.
