Durham sign SA international Berhardien and Bedingham

Durham Cricket have confirmed the signings of former South African international Farhaan Berhadien as well as his compatriot David Bedhingham.

Berhadien is an experienced international having turned out for the Proteas 97 times in both T20I and ODI cricket since 2012.

The former South Africa captain will bring some much-needed experience to a young squad having played in numerous high profile T20 competitions including the IPL for Kings XI Punjab.

It has been a successful year for Berhadien, he’s currently Momentum Multiply Titans top run-scorer with 591 first-class runs in 2019.

25-year old David Bedhingham will join Berhadien at the Riverside having signed a season-long deal for 2020.

The former South Africa U19 international averages 45 in first-class cricket and has represented a number of T20 franchise teams.

The deals end both players South African international careers as they switch focus to playing in England.

The two will join up with Durham for pre-season in March.
