Hebburn manager Kevin Bolam already looking forward to FA Vase semi-final tie after draw was made today

Manager Kevin Bolam has said in the aftermath of today’s FA Vase semi-final draw that he is “really looking forward to it already”.

Following Saturday’s 2-0 win over Plymouth Parkway in front of a record-breaking crowd of 1,705, the Hornets were drawn against the winners the Corinthian v Leighton Town clash which takes place this Saturday.

The nature of the draw means that the away leg will be played on Saturday 21st March before the home leg on March 28th.

Bolam is hopeful that his side can bring back a positive result to set them up for an aggregate win over the two legs.

He said: “We are pleased with it and we can give ourselves something to stay in the game with before getting back to the North East.

“We will see what happens on Saturday and then start our homework on the side that gets through.

“The buzz is still around the place from Saturday, and we are really looking forward to it already.

“But it’s put to the side for now because we have two huge league games ahead, so we are focusing on them.

“Once Saturday is out of the way we will work on finding out a little bit about our opponents.”

Hebburn are the bookies favourites for the competition with odds of 1/1 according to oddschecker but they’ve still got plenty of work to do before thinking about a final at Wembley.
