Match preview: Bishop Auckland Ladies vs Gateshead Ladies

Fourth place Gateshead Ladies take on Bishop Auckland Ladies this Sunday with both teams hoping to move up the table. 

Gateshead are aiming to move up to third with a win this weekend for them to overtake and have hopes of a promotion spot in sight.  

Bishop Auckland look to gain a close grasp on Norton and Stockton reserves with Bishops being currently five points behind. 

With Gateshead coming off the back of an impressive 5-2 win over Consett Ladies and Bishop Auckland getting a 1-1 draw against Hartlepool. Both teams will be looking to pick up points in this fixture.  

This is the sides’ first meeting of the season with expectations of a win for both managers expected.  

Gateshead has bagged 29 league goals this season whilst Bishop Auckland have only scored 10 and conceded 20. But off the back of a 1-1 draw will be expecting to get something at home to the Heed.
