Newcastle United has today posted a trailer featuring a black and white Formula E car with the caption “Stay Tooned”.
The video was posted across Newcastle United’s social media just after 3pm this afternoon.
In the video the car is seen driving through different parts of the city and is driven by a mystery driver, who is wearing a Newcastle United crest on their helmet.
United Footballers Elliot Anderson and Anthony Gordon also feature in the 20 second video clip.
In April the black and white car was seen in various places around Newcastle including St James’ Park and the quayside.
Saudia Airlines, the official airline partner of the club, assumed the same position for the Formula E series in January 2023.
This led supporters to speculate that the club may have a new partner in Formula E.
The video ends with the Newcastle club crest, the Formula E logo and the Saudis Airlines logo all in one frame. The words “coming soon” are written underneath.
