Game Preview: London Lions vs Newcastle Eagles  

Newcastle Eagles will travel to London for the first leg of the BBL Championship Playoffs semifinal.  

The Eagles demolished the Caledonia Gladiators in the quarterfinals, but this will be a massive test.  

In the normal season, the London Lions topped the league, whilst the Eagles finished 6th.  

The Lions were also impressive in their quarterfinal match-up against the Surrey Scorchers. They won 80-65 in the first leg in London and then won in Surrey 105-96.  

Recent form 

The London Lions’ form in the League before the Playoffs was impressive as they won 5 out of 5.  

The Newcastle Eagles form before the Playoffs was hit and miss, in the last five games of the normal season, the Eagles won two games and lost three.
