Seaham Red Star vs Boro Rangers Preview
Seaham Red Star are hoping to make it back-to-back wins as they host a high-flying Boro Rangers side tomorrow.
It has been a positive start to the season for Boro Rangers. Their record stands at 15 wins, four draws and five losses. They currently sit just five points off top.
Their recent performances have been poor, most recently losing 3-0 against Shildon. Rangers haven’t won in their last four games meaning they need a big bounce back this weekend. Their positive start to the season is dipping off and pressure is beginning to mount from below.
Seaham are down at the bottom, but are on the rise after beating Tow Law Town 3-1 away from home.
They have now won three of their last five and are looking to maintain this improved run of form heading into the busy winter period.
The last time the two teams met, Seaham were beaten by an in-form Boro Rangers side 3-1. Red Star have conceded 52 goals so far this season and with the visitors having scored 57 there is only one favourite heading into this one. However, momentum will be with the hosts tomorrow afternoon and that could make for an interesting game.
Based on recent form this game could go either way. I would lean towards a 1-1. However, if Boro Rangers manage to hit their peak then it could be a heavy defeat for Red Star. The league’s top scorer Stuart Rose is one to watch for Boro Rangers tomorrow with the striker boasting an impressive 28 goals in 22 league games so far this season.
Kick-off tomorrow is 3pm at The Alexandra Steakhouse Stadium.
