Northallerton Town vs Seaham Red Star match preview

After a week out, Seaham Red Star are hoping to return to action with three points against Northallerton Town tomorrow.

Northallerton haven’t had the strongest start to the season sitting 15th in the table.

They have lost their last two games in all competitions and some recent new additions to their squad should breed confidence within the squad as manager Jason Newall looks to get back to winning ways.

Red Star are third bottom as things stand, but their recent win over Tow Law Town made it three wins from their last five and they are heading into the festive period with momentum on their side.

Last week all but two games across both Northern League Division One and Two were postponed due to the weather and that cancellation may work against Red Star who would have been keen to maintain what has been an up-turn in form.

The last time the two teams met Seaham were beaten by a struggling Northallerton 2-1 in August. It was a tight affair and something similar is to be expected this weekend at The Calvert Stadium.

Northallerton have won just three games at home this season and with Red Star only having two league wins on the road to their name so far, it really is hard to call a winner.

A draw is screaming out in this one, but the form of both sides means both dugouts will be looking at this one as an opportunity and that often makes for a tense and entertaining fixture.

Kick off is 3pm tomorrow afternoon at The Calvert Stadium.
