Jonny Clayton steals the show in Premier League Darts Night Three – Glasgow

Jonny Clayton ended a three-year winless record against Gerwyn Price on his way to his first Premier League Darts nightly win in Glasgow last night.

Here’s everything that happened on Night Three…

Match 1: Stephen Bunting vs Gian Van Veen

Van Veen got back to winning ways overcoming Stephen Bunting, who is still yet to pick up a point.

The Giant checked out 114 in his first leg, before popping 124 in leg four for a 3-1 lead.

The Bullet battled on but van Veen, who averaged 104.36, was too much for the rank #6.

Van Veen booked his spot in the semi-final, while for Bunting, a wait for a win goes on and he plays Luke Humphries in his opening tie next week.

Result: Bunting (99.84) 3-6 (104.36) van Veen

Match 2: Luke Humphries vs Josh Rock

Humphries dismantled Rock, who suffered a third consecutive 6-2 defeat in the Premier League.

Rocky took out 140 for leg one and appeared to be much improved from last week’s display in Antwerp.

With the scores level at 2-2, Humphries went onto win the next four legs, hitting three maximums on the way.

Humphries booked a spot in the first semi-final with van Veen, while Rock sits bottom after three nights, heading to his home roots of Belfast next week.

Result: Humphries (105.95) 6-2 (97.11) Rock

Match 3: Michael van Gerwen vs Luke Littler

Littler received a Bye to the semi-final as van Gerwen was forced to pull out due to illness.

Along with the Bye, Littler also picked up two league points and a +1-leg difference.

Van Gerwen receives a -6-leg difference and will be hoping to return to action next week in Belfast.

Result: Littler handed Bye

Match 4: Jonny Clayton vs Gerwyn Price

Clayton ended a three-year winless run against his World Cup partner Price – a run dating back to the 2023 Premier League.

The Ferret had lost the last 10 meetings, including last week’s semi-final in Antwerp.

Clayton checked out 121 to break in leg two, and Price was behind from the get-go but created a slight chance for himself checking out 78 in leg seven.

Clayton reeled off the next three legs for the match and has won all three of his quarter-final ties so far in the 2026 Premier League.

Result: Clayton (99.88) 6-3 (91.96) Price

Semi-final 1: Gian van Veen vs Luke Humphries

Van Veen came from 3-1 behind to beat the world #2 in a last-leg decider.

Humphries hit seven maximums throughout the match and also went into a 4-2 lead.

The Dutch #1 won the next three legs to go 5-4 ahead but Cool Hand hit double four to send the game all the way.

Van Veen survived two match darts with Humphries missing two at double 16, and the Dutchman capitalised, pinning double 8 to book a spot in his second final of the campaign.

Result: van Veen (95.75) 6-5 (103.25) Humphries

Semi-final 2: Luke Littler vs Jonny Clayton

Clayton followed up his victory over Price by absolutely wiping the floor with the world #1.

Littler only had six darts at double, pinning 27 for his only leg in leg two.

Clayton went onto win the next five legs hitting two ton plus finishes with 106 and 110 shots.

Result: Littler (97.84) 1-6 (101.33) Clayton

Final: Gian van Veen vs Jonny Clayton

Clayton ran riot once again in the final averaging 104.35.

The Ferret took an early 2-0 lead and despite van Veen getting into the game and only one behind after five legs, Clayton won the next three legs.

The Ferret took out a 156 finish for the match pinning double 18 to overcome the world #3.

Result: van Veen (94.57) 2-6 (104.35) Clayton

Clayton now sits top of the table after three weeks of actions on nine points.

The Welshman takes on Littler in Belfast, with the Nuke still yet to reach a final.
