Marc Nash recalled Zach Simpson to the starting lineup after resting him in midweek against Redcar Athletic, Lucas Taylor started his second consecutive game for Spartans.
It was the worst possible start for the home side, Rio Molyneaux darted into the 18 yard box and slipped a low cross into the path of Dennison who tapped home in just two minutes.
Spartans regained control of the game after 30 minutes but struggled to create anything clearcut, multiple corners were floated into the area but were too deep for anyone to attack them.
However Spartans did prevail minutes before the break this time the corner was deep and attacked by Van-Zandvliet who smashed the header low into the bottom corner levelling the game at the perfect time.
Spartans regrouped for the second period and instantly put the Villagers on the back foot, another corner was whipped in with the loose ball falling at the feet of Taylor who reacted first poking the ball home in the 52nd minute to claim his first goal in green and white.
Blyth looked comfortable after taking the lead but changes from both benches opened the game up and suited the away side who were hunting for an equaliser.
North Ferriby eventually claimed the equaliser after a period of sustained pressure a corner wasn’t dealt with at the front post by the Spartans defender allowing Williams to control the ball in acres of space and fire home in the 81st minute.
Given the circumstances of the game Spartans will be disappointed that they didn’t hold on for the three points, but in their fight for survival every point gained will be crucial come the end of the season.
