Match Preview: Kidderminster Harriers vs South Shields

South Shields face a final-day showdown to secure promotion to the National League, as they travel to Kiddiminster Harriors on Saturday (12:30pm kick-off).

Both teams are guaranteed a place in the promotion playoff, but Shields still have the opportunity to receive automatic promotion, which will be decided on the final day.

Currently in first are AFC Fylde on 97 points, with Shields in second on 95.

Kiddiminster are third with 84 points, meaning Shields will end the season with a second or first-place finish.

Recent form has seen Shields win only two out of their last five games, whereas Kiddiminster have won all five, and will be hoping to take this form into the final day.

With this being said, they are only able to finish third, as no team can catch up to them, and with only one game left not enough points can be gained to move up the table.

Kiddiminster were victorious in the reverse fixture earlier in the season away from home with a 1-2 win, and Shields will be hoping to do the same in their away tie.

With South Shields having everything to play for, this game is set to be a thriller for their club and fans.
