Monkwearmouth Year 10s win Durham FA North East Futsal Finals

Monkwearmouth’s Year 10s won Durham FA’s North East Futsal competition at the Beacon of Light on Friday, successfully retaining their crown from last year.

The holders qualified for the final by defeating Sunderland-based schools to represent the city among others in the North East, which included two-time year group winners, Hurworth School in Darlington.

Even though years 7, 8 and 9 came short on the day it was an impressive performance by everyone involved which meant that every year group at least came runners-up.
