Chris Dobey in action at 2019 Players Championship Finals

Bedlington’s Chris Dobey will face Cristo Reyes in the first round of the 2019 Players Championship Finals on November 22 at Butlin’s Resort, Minehead.

The PDC darts tournament sees the top 64 players from the 30 Players Championship events in 2019 competing from November 22-24.

Dobey is ranked 24th in the PDC Order of Merit and is the 29th seed at the finals, based on his performances at the 30 Players Championship events.

Spain’s Reyes has a ranking of 44 and is seeded 36th.

The pair’s most recent meeting came in the first round of a Players Championship tournament in Ireland in 2018, with Reyes winning 6-2.

The winner will face either the fourth seed, Peter Wright, or the 61st seed, James Wilson, in the second round.

Dobey recorded impressive wins against Dave Chisnall and James Wade on his run to the quarter-finals of the 2018 event, where he lost to Daryl Gurney.

Gurney went on to win the tournament, beating Michael van Gerwen 11-9 in the final.
