Littler has topped the table and reached the final in his first three years in the competition winning twice. Humphries was a dart away from having a chance of winning the match, not too bad for someone sat in seventh after night 10, but not to be.

PDC chief executive Matt Porter has recently hinted at a change in Premier League format stating, “watch this space”, as fans have complained about repetitive matches.
