F1 Launch Season: MoneyGram Haas F1 launch their clean and simple 2023 livery
Haas today has become the first team to break ranks and kick off launch season with their 2023 livery.
While this only a livery launch and not any indication of what their 2023 design or performance will be like, there is still plenty to take from the launch.
The new livery is a contrast to the last two liveries which have been prenominally white and is a return to a similar colour scheme the team ran from 2016 to 2019 and 2020.
However, the major difference compared to last is the fact MoneyGram (the American P2P money transfer company) are the team’s title sponsor after signing on last year, so they feature heavily on the car. There is also a new sponsor on the car in Palm Angles who are an American fashion brand.
This season should be huge for Haas as this is the first season they hopefully will be able to compete without controversy or the pressure of being a member of the backmarker section of the grid for the first time since 2018. For example, last season began with the loss of their old title sponsor UralKali and the Russian Driver Nikita Mazepin. This was due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
So with the signing of Nico Hulkenberg to replace Mercedes reserve bound Mick Schumacher alongside Kevin Magnussen combined with what’s hoped to be another car that should be a consistent points finisher.
Haas can look forward to their best season since 2018 in terms of not only constructors’ finishes but also in terms of being a team that’s free of controversy.
