Durham striker scores on debut for Young Lionesses
Durham striker Poppy Pritchard scored 15 minutes into her debut for England Women’s U-19s on Wednesday.
The goal was the young Lionesses first of five in a comfortable victory over Denmark in an international friendly at St. George’s Park.
The reliable Araya Dennis was also on hand with a first-half brace. The dual-registered Arsenal and Crystal Palace player doubled England’s lead just five minutes after Pritchard’s opener and grabbed her second with a powerful deflected strike around the half-hour mark.
Georgia Mullett came off the bench to add a fourth with just 12 minutes on the clock before Freya Godfrey added the devastating fifth in second-half injury-time to top off a confident performance from Amy Merrick’s side.
St. Georges Park will again be in use on Tuesday for the u-19s as they face off against Germany.
