Team Sunderland’s Jakab gets Northern Uni’s call-up
Team Sunderland Elite Athlete Simon Jakab has been selected to represent Northern English Universities.
The MSc Psychology student will represent the North in the annual fixture against the South on March 3 at St George’s Park.
This is the second consecutive year Simon has been selected for the fixture and was named Player of the Match in 2023.
This led to his selection for the English Universities squad where he played several games, including an impressive victory over Premier League side Burnley’s U21 team.
