EURO 2024 – A look at England’s group

The European Championships in Germany are still a month away. One month before England go on the hunt for the title. The desire for their first title since the 1966 World Cup on home soil.

Let’s now take a look at Group C.

In addition to England, Denmark, Slovenia and Serbia are represented in this group.


England will play their first group match against Serbia on 16 June and have never met Serbia in this form in football. The last meeting was in 2003 when they competed as Serbia & Montenegro. Serbia finished second in qualifying for the EUROs behind Hungary.

Serbia vs Russia 0-4

Serbia vs Cyprus 1-0


On 20 June, Serbia will face the Danish team in Frankfurt. The last time these two teams met was in the semi-finals of the last European Championship in 2021. They won 2-1 in extra time to secure their place in the final. Denmark finished the qualifiers in first place in their group, ahead of Slovenia.

Denmark vs Faroe Islands 2-0


The final group match against Slovenia will take place on 25 June in Cologne. The last time these two teams met was 7 years ago. This was in qualifying for the 2018 World Cup and went 1-0 to the English. Slovenia qualified for EURO 2024 in second place behind Denmark.
