Boldon CA receive funding from the Premier League for new 50-seater stand
Boldon CA FC have received a grant of £28,343 from the Premier League to build a new 50-seater stand following damage caused by Storm Babet in October 2023.
The grant is provided by the Premier League Stadium Fund, which helps to improve the comfort and safety of football grounds across the English football pyramid.
Boldon CA club treasurer, Emma Collins, said: “The provisioning of this purpose-built stand will benefit not only supporters of our football team, but also visiting supporters and the supporters of any other football teams that may play on our pitch both now and in generations to come.”
The new stand will considerably improve the spectator facilities for supporters attending the Boldon Colliery Welfare Ground, home of Boldon CA.
Boldon are winless in their last three, but with what will feel like an early Christmas present for Boldon, the club will look to keep spirits high when they welcome Washington, who are rooted to the foot of the table, on Boxing Day.
