Match 1: Luke Littler vs Gerwyn Price

Littler and Price meet for the fifth time this season.

The Nuke has won all four meetings so far, including coming from 5-0 down to win the final in Dublin.

The pair both suffered quarter-final defeats in Brighton.

Littler sits in second, three points behind league leader Jonny Clayton and just two points above Price.

My prediction: Littler 6-2 Price

Match 2: Gian van Veen vs Luke Humphries

Van Veen meets Humphries in his first-round tie.

The pair both failed to pick up points in Brighton.

Humphries lost a last-leg decider to eventual nightly winner Clayton, whereas the Giant lost to fellow Dutchman van Gerwen.

Humphries sits seventh after ten weeks but is just six points off van Gerwen in fourth, while Van Veen sits in fifth, four points off the final play-off place.

My prediction: van Veen 6-3 Humphries

Match 3: Michael van Gerwen vs Jonny Clayton

In a repeat of last week’s final, the Ferret takes on the Green Machine.

Clayton came from 5-2 down to pick up his third nightly win in Brighton.

Clayton has won both meetings in the Premier League, overcoming Mighty Mike in the quarter-finals in Nottingham.

My prediction: van Gerwen 6-4 Clayton

Match 4: Stephen Bunting vs Josh Rock

Bunting takes on Rock in the final opening-round tie.

Rock has picked up six points in the last three weeks and is only five points off reigning champion Humphries and the Bullet himself in sixth and seventh.

Bunting eased past Rock in their only meeting in this year’s Premier League, with a 6-1 victory in Nottingham.

My prediction: Bunting 6-4 Rock
