“I think we’ll do really well”: Seaton Carew attacker tips team for success in league above

Wearside League Premier Division champions Seaton Carew continued their winning run as they defeated Durham FC Corinthians at the DCD Teamwear Arena.

Seaton moved 12 points clear at the top of the table, after already confirming they would be champions of the division in Saturday’s game against Brandon United.

They will be playing in the Northern League Division Two next year, which is step 6 of the English football pyramid, and they’ll be facing teams such as FC Hartlepool and Seaham Red Star.

Seaton’s joint top scorer Robbie Lithgo – who scored his 32nd goal of the season in the match – said, “It’s good to not put our foot off the gas after winning the league.”

He also spoke on Seaton’s promotion, and looking ahead at next year he said, “I think we’ve got a good squad so I think we’ll do really well in the league above.”

Seaton have three games left this season, with one of them being the Monkwearmouth Charity Cup Final against South Moor FC.
